Defeating the "Copy/Paste Approach" to Specification Writing
Presented by Mark Clemmensen, RSW

CSC Grand Valley Chapter - Luncheon Seminar

Seminar Description:
Attendees will be introduced to an industry-wide phenomenon we've all come to accept!

Sub-par product literature & specifications are what's available, resulting in “recycling” of outdated, uncoordinated specs from a previous project, that we expect priced on this one!

Is it the Client's responsibility to fix and/or complete Specifications provided by the Product Manufacturer? Product Master Sections often don't contain the necessary content required to Tender on a Project.

Presenter Bio:
Mark became a Registered Specification Writer (RSW) in 2011, at 28, and remains the youngest recipient of this designation since CSC's establishment in 1953.

Mark's experience goes well beyond Technical Specification Writing; with an innate ability to solve complex design issues with a vast wealth of Building Product Knowledge, Mark serves as your guiding light in a sea of product solutions.

His specialized expertise enabled him to open two successful Specification Consulting Practices, engaging with like-minded professionals in the design community, looking to learn more about the craft of Specification Writing.
